Treasure
your culture; take value in your beliefs
Because all
our differences make us unique.
Our
similarities bring us closer; while the unknown tear us apart.
We need to
have patience and acceptance from the start.
Teach them
early; give them respect
For
misinformation is something we tend to regret.
Our want
for equality; our willingness to persist
Will
hopefully one day make it hard to resist
The many
ways we can all overcome the fear
And someday
justice for all will appear.
Hi Kristen
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your poem. It really shows the ideas of diversity and how being an anti-bias educator can help our children thrive to reach their true potential. All we should strive for is a just and equitable world.

I am impressed by anyone that creates poetry and your poem did an excellent job of conveying the importance of anti-bias education and the appreciation for diversity. We are helping the next generation investigate issues of injustice and stand up for equity for all. Thanks for sharing!
